Baal worship
​Baal worship was rooted in sensuality and involved in ritualistic prostitution in the temples. At times, appeasing Baal required human sacrifice usually the firstborn of the one making the sacrifice (Jeremiah 19:5). The priests of Baal appealed to their god in rites of wild abandon which included loud, ecstatic cries and self-inflicted injury (1 Kings 18:28).
Before the Hebrews entered the Promised Land, the Lord God warned against worshiping Canaan’s gods (Deuteronomy 6:14-15), but Israel turned to idolatry anyway. During the reign of Ahab and Jezebel, at the height of Baal worship in Israel, God directly confronted the paganism through His prophet Elijah. First, God showed that He, not Baal, controlled the rain by sending a drought lasting three-and-one-half years (1 Kings 17:1). Then Elijah called for a showdown on Mt. Carmel to prove once and for all who the true God was. All day long, 450 prophets of Baal called on their god to send fire from heaven—surely an easy task for a god associated with lightning bolts—but “there was no response, no one answered, no one paid attention” (1 Kings 18:29). After Baal’s prophets gave up, Elijah prayed a simple prayer, and God answered immediately with fire from heaven. The evidence was overwhelming, and the people “fell prostrate and cried, ‘The LORD–he is God! The LORD–he is God!’” 

​​Is cutting Demonic?

​The bible describes a ritual in which those who worshiped the false god Baal "demon"  
​slashed themselves with swords and spears.
(First Kings 18:24–29 )Children who are cutting and slashing their flesh
are​ being driven by demonic Influence!
​Biblical laws were given that forbid the slashing of flesh.
(Deut. 14:1) which states:
“You are the children of the Lord your God; you shall not cut yourselves.
In the New Testament with the portrayal of the demonized man in 
(​Mark 5:5 ) who sat night and day crying out and cutting himself with stones.
Cutting was and still is a customary practice of the occult and is used in
​the conjuring of demons. ​Demons are attempting to isolate our children so they turn 
​​their frustrations ​and fears on themselves.

What the demonic use to have strong holds when it ​comes to cutting:

​​Self-unforgiveness
Self-resentment
Self-retaliation
Self-anger
Self-violence
Self-rejection
Self-accusation

 Signs Your Child May Be Cutting
​Changes in behavior, including spending more time in isolation.
Long showers or spending large amounts of time in the bathroom.
Teens washing sheets and clothing themselves, when they previously did not.
Suddenly using large amounts of toilet paper or facial tissue.
Wearing long sleeves in summer, wearing large numbers of bracelets.
New cuts or injuries appear without logical explanation
​.Frequently accessing/following online self-injury groups or websites.​
 Children need a safe place to share what is going on in their heads without
​fear of condemnation.
​ They need to understand that it is the devil that is waging a war over their souls
by using a counterfeit method of a quick emotional release.
